When booking please choose your start date and time from the options listed below. By selecting your start date and time you are agreeing to attend the consecutive classes that follow from your start date, at the same time until the end of your 6 week course.

6 Week Beginners and Improvers Handbuilding

Suitable for complete newcomers to clay, and people looking to improve on their skills after a beginners course. This 2.5 hour class on a afternoon (2pm) or evening (6:30pm) runs once a week on Tuesdays for 6 weeks.

During the course you will learn to prepare clay; hand build a pot by coiling and pinching; rolling out slab; using a template; press mold a piece; decorating & mark making techniques; and have an introduction to glazing.

This is for one person (18 plus only) in a group of 6. You will weigh and pay for your clay at the leather hard stage before first firing You pay one fee for the clay, glaze and firing, including the bisque firing, the glazes and 2nd firing.

There will be essential Health and Safety advice in the first week and ongoing instruction as required during the course. You are advised to arrive on time and not to miss a class, the lessons are structured so you learn progressively and consistently. Please read the Terms and Conditions in the Classes drop down menu, you will be asked to agree when you make your booking.

By selecting your start date and time on the calendar shown you are agreeing to attend the consecutive classes that follow that date, at the same time, until the end of the 6 week course. If you have to miss a class and we are given at least a weeks notice we will try and find a make up class for you within your 6 week block, but please be aware this may not always be possible.

June to July Cycle -

Every Tuesday starting June 4th until July 9th, with classes running for 2.5 hours at 2pm or 6:30pm. Taught by Lindy.

September to October Cycle -

Every Tuesday starting September 10th until October 15th, with classes running for 2.5 hours at 2pm or 6:30pm. Taught by Lindy.
